Linnea provides instruction on your horse at your home or boarding facility or at her Center Line Farm. You may also experience lessons on her own schooled horses. Training of horses is done only at the farm’s Dressage Development Center. Linnea takes a classical approach to training horses and adheres to the principles of relaxation, suppleness, contact, impulsion, straightness and collection. She patiently communicates with horses in their own language and never asks more of them than they are capable of offering on any given day. At Center Line Farm, we not only train the physical body but are considerate of each horse’s mental and emotional temperament. Training must be fun for the horse, never abusive, and never a confusing situation. Linnea teaches riders how to become effective communicators with their equine partners through proper alignment of their positions. She delves into the mental, physical and emotional aspects of riding and consistently produces relaxed, confident riders. She helps riders discover their goals and develop their own training roadmap. To fine tune your riding horse, we offer instruction and training rates on a weekly or a monthly basis.

Linnea has been judging schooling shows all over the Northeast since 1992. Over the years, she has developed a keen eye without ever forgetting what it’s like to come down center line for the first time! She understands fear and the anxiety of horses at their first shows, tightness and the nervousness of riders showing for the first time. As a dressage judge, her positive attitude and her desire to educate (rather than berate) come together to give the riders she judges a positive experience. She repeatedly helps riders of all ages to relax, smile, and enjoy their riding and showing experience. Her comments focus on the positives rather than the negatives and she is always heard giving good, constructive and encouraging advice. Many organizations have asked Linnea to come back as a clinician after experiencing her as a dressage judge.

Boarding of horses at Center Line Farm is available only to those who are serious about training and education. The horses receive the highest possible care. The stalls are bright, odor free and horse safe. Changing blankets, use of fly masks and leg protection are all included in the rate. There is never an extra charge for holding horses for services such as dental, vet or farrier.
Horses are treated as individuals with diets being customized to their specific needs and all stalls have salt licks. The facilities are serviced by expert pest control, farrier, dental, chiropractic/acupuncture, medical and surgical specialists.
Each horse is individually hand-walked to and from its turnout. All of our turnouts have wood post and rail fence with top electric web. We have no wire fencing.
All horses are on a total wellness program that consists of regular rotational deworming, biannual vaccinations, summer bug-off program and winter bran mashes. We work hard to be a disease free and pest free facility.
We insist on proof of vaccinations, worming and Coggins for every horse that enters our facility for any reason. Your horse will be in knowledgeable, experienced and caring hands. We do our best to accommodate all individualized requests.
